Rovers striker Dominic Samuel admits it's important to start on the front foot when Oldham Athletic visit Ewood Park this weekend.
The 18-game unbeaten run came to an end last week against Plymouth, but as one ends, another one can start, and that's exactly what Dom wants to happen on Saturday.
“Sometimes you get games where teams play a defensive shape and get a couple of pretty fortunate goals," the 23-year-old said when reflecting on the display at Argyle.
“We have to bounce back quickly because there is only 16 games left, but it’s imperative to focus on the next game and getting those three points.
“We’re more than confident of going unbeaten for the remainder of the season. When you look at the squad we have and the quality in it, we can achieve it.
“Everyone’s positive, upbeat and looking forward to the next game."
And on Oldham, Dom reckons Rovers know what to expect, especially when teams visit Ewood.
An early goal proved key last time out against Walsall on home turf, and Samuel says the same occurance could be vital again this weekend.
"I expect there will be a lot of attacking football from us and probably a defensive block from them," he adds.
“That first goal and a fast start will allow you to control the whole game, but the main thing is to ensure we get the three points. As long as we win, that’s the main thing."
