The English Schools’ FA Under-18 Boys Colleges’ Cup final will take place at Ewood Park on Monday March 19th.
It will be the second successive year that Rovers have hosted an ESFA national final after welcoming Monkseaton High School and Hartpury College to Ewood Park for the Elite Schools & Colleges Cup final in March 2017.
This year’s final will see Newcastle College, of Newcastle-under-Lyme, face St Charles VI Form College, of London, to determine who becomes national champions.
Almost 70 colleges from across England entered this season’s competition, with the two finalists progressing through six previous rounds to get to this stage.
The ESFA are looking to welcome spectators along to cheer on the finalists in what is sure to be a show of elite footballing skill.
Darren Alcock, ESFA National Competitions Manager, said: “The atmosphere in the stadium makes all the difference to the players on the pitch and whilst we do all we can to create a fantastic matchday experience for them, we rely on supporters and the public to create a real buzz around the final.
“Schools from the local area will be invited to attend, with special discounted rates of entry and Blackburn Rovers season ticket holders can also claim free entry for the match. We hope to welcome along as many spectators as possible to enjoy the event.”
Entry is £4 for adults and free of charge for students, under-18s and Rovers season ticket holders.
Kick-off on Monday March 19th is at 1pm. All supporters are welcome.
