It wasn't to be for Rovers star Bradley 'Bullseye' Dack, who suffered a comprehensive defeat to Bradley 'Blackburn Boy' Brooks earlier today, when the two went head to head at the oche.
As expected, Brooks made it look easy against Dack, who started well but saw hopes of an upset fade with every dart thrown.
Teenage Rovers fan Brooks has just earned a place on the PDC tour, and took on playmaker Dack, who himself claimed to be "decent" at the sport.
Brooks earned a whitewash with a 3-0 victory against Dack, who registered scores such as 7, 13 and 29. Incidentally, Brooks, who said his favourite double is 16, grabbed each win with a double top finish.
And afterwards, Brooks told iFollow Rovers: "It was very enjoyable and probably did better than I expected. It means a lot and I won't forget this.
"I'm a season ticket holder and go as much as I can, when time allows. It's great to see the team doing so well at the moment in the league."
Opponent Dack felt he produced a decent display, but admitted he was always going to be inferior to Brooks.
"I really enjoyed it, despite the result. I was told Bradley was coming down a couple of weeks ago and he's obviously done really well to get to where he has done at only 17," Dack said.
"I like to think I gave him a good game. I've played and have been to events a few times and it's a great time. I went in fancy dress one year.
"He was way too good for me and as a Rovers fan it's good to see him and play against him. I had a couple of trebles and some doubles in there, which I'll take all day long!"
Brooks mingled and discussed both his passions - darts and Rovers - with boss Tony Mowbray after demolishing Dack, and everyone at Rovers looks forward to see him mingling with the likes of Michael van Gerwen in the near future!
