For the second time in the space of three days, a Rovers frontman hit a hat-trick in a big win.
However, following Danny Graham's trio of strikes on Saturday against Sheffield Wednesday, Joe Nuttall went one better by bagging four in the victory against Doncaster Rovers on Monday night in the Premier League Cup.
Nuttall's goals ensured a comfortable night for Damien Johnson's Development Squad, who boosted their chances of progressing in the Premier League Cup following the big 4-0 win against Donny.
Nuttall's first half hat-trick put the young Blues in command before he completed the mauling with his and Rovers' fourth of the evening before the hour.
It's fair to say that it wasn't a bad night for the striker, then?
"From a personal point of view, it was really nice to be back amongst the goals again," the powerful frontman said following his four-goal haul.
"I just want to play football, score goals and keep fit and sharp. When the gaffer calls on me I need to be ready to play.
"It was a good night. I thought all the boys played well though and we showed what we can do on the night after what has been a tough season so far.
"Scoring is good, but my main job is to improve my all round game and try to catch the gaffer's eye when he watches.
"You need to take your chances when they come and I did that tonight. I'm really pleased with the fourth goal. I had the confidence from my hat-trick and when the ball came to me I thought I'd have a go. Luckilly for me it was too powerful for the goalkeeper.
"It's a confidence-boosting win. We really want to show the teams in the league now what we're capable of because I don't think we've done that too much this season."
