Playmaker Bradley Dack says keeping hold of Tony Mowbray long-term is a fantastic piece of business for Rovers going forward.

It's been an enjoyable time at the club in the main since Mowbray's appointment in February 2017, with promotion back to the Championship achieved during his reign.

Dack's been working with the boss for a large chunk of that time having arrived from Gillingham in the summer of 2017, and believes things are looking up with the 55-year-old in charge.

“It’s brilliant news for the club and the whole team that the boss is staying long-term," Dack told iFollow Rovers.

“On a personal note, he’s been brilliant for me. He’s given me a free role to express myself.
“We actually had a word with each other at the end of last week, and he said I didn’t look like I was enjoying my football.
“That was the case, after all, we’d been well beaten at Preston and Wigan. He asked me to get back to enjoying my football, because that is when I play best. Fortunately things improved at the weekend.
“He’s a brilliant man manager. He knows how to get the best out of players. With me, he knows how to get into my mind and knows what makes me tick."
