Rovers fan Noel Creamer has donated £450 to the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal courtesy of the club's Remembrance Day auction.
Noel submitted the biggest bid for the Commemorative Coin used for the coin toss at Rovers' Remembrance fixture against Rotherham United last month.
Bespoke coins were used at every Premier League, EFL and FA Cup match across Remembrance Weekend - which marked 100 years since the end of the First World War - to pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice whilst serving their country in conflict.
Noel was presented with the coin, along with a signed poppy shirt, by Ben Brereton, Derrick Williams, Adam Armstrong and Kasey Palmer ahead of Rovers' 4-2 victory over Sheffield Wednesday last Saturday.
The superb sum will be passed on to the Royal British Legion, which provides lifelong support for the Armed Forces community, veterans and their families.
