It's not every day that you get a motor vehicle named in your honour, but for Rovers forward Ben Brereton that dream has became a reality!

The teenager, who is currently on loan from Nottingham Forest, met his namesake at the Senior Training Centre at the end of last week, coming face to face with a shiny quad bike.

Ben's sponsor for this season is Hoze It, a professional power cleaning business from Blackburn, and after acquiring the new piece of kit, owners Paul Schofield and Michael Schofield needed a name.

Fitted with a gritter at the back and a shovel at the front, the Schofields are now prepared for the winter jobs, but how did the name come about?

"We wanted to give it a name, so we asked on social media and got the usual responses," Paul explained.

"We saw Spready Mercury and names like that. It's becoming the norm thing these days!

"But a friend of mine said Big Ben because we are big Rovers fans and sponsor Ben Brereton, and that was that really.

"Ben's a bit like our business. He's young, has a lot of potential and will be big in the future.

"We've purchased the quad bike for the winter, because as a cleaning business it may come in handy.

"We've done plenty of work down at Ewood Park already using it, cleaning the paving and the car parks."
