Rovers were delighted to host coaches from Mill Hill Juniors Football Club, which was an event designed for the club to share goalkeeping theoretical and practical demonstrations of what we do here at Rovers.
The evening was well attended, with over 30 coaches shown elements on recruitment, a goalkeeper's role when 'in possession' and finally a Q&A.
It is hoped that these evenings will be the first of many link-ups both clubs will be having across the course of the season and we look forward to continuing a good relationship in order to help develop both players and coaches.
Rovers Goalkeeping Coach Ben Benson said: "The goalkeeping staff would like to thank Mill Hill Juniors Football Club and the coaching staff for their support of this event. When we heard the number of coaches that were going to be in attendance we were delighted.
"Once again, I would like to thank the coaching staff, Jordan Felgate and Ben Ascroft, for their help to put an event like this together, but also Mill Hill Juniors football club and their members for their continued support."
Adrian Lomax of Mill Hill said: "It was a game changing night for Mill Hill Juniors FC, as we opened our minds to theories and practises from the best at Rovers.
"We are very thankful for the time and effort Ben and his team gave our club's coaches and proud that both clubs can help one another to aid the next generation of players local to Blackburn. Thank you for a top night!"
