Next up in A-Z is Harrison Reed, who hammers Ben Brereton, talks sunburn fears and healthy takeaway options for the modern day footballer!

A – AWAY -What is your favourite away ground that you've played at?

I’d say the Emirates. The pitch is perfect, and on the two occasions I’ve played there with Southampton and Norwich, the performances have been pretty positive.

B – BANTER – Who's got the best banter in the squad?

I know a lot say Dacky, and he is quite funny. But for me I enjoy Charlie Mulgrew’s banter. He always gets a few laughs out of the lads. He has a different kind of banter to most.

C – CLUB – What football team do you support?

I support Manchester United. Being a southerner, that’s how it works! I’m a glory-hunter. I love the trophies.

D – DINING – What would be your last three-course meal?

I’d go for cheesy garlic bread to start, a Big Mac meal or spaghetti carbonara for the main and sticky toffee pudding afterwards. Go with the Big Mac meal for the main for this one!

E – EVENINGS – A quiet night in or a night out with the lads? Why?

I know she is going to read this, so I’d better say a quiet night in with the missus! I’m not much of a party animal, so a chilled one with the missus and a takeaway suits me. Craig Conway’s introduced me to a place called Thindian, which is a healthy curry house near Leyland, so we’d probably go there.

F – FOREIGN – What's your favourite holiday destination and why?

My skin doesn’t really agree with the sun, which I know must come as a complete surprise! I went to the Bahamas once though and it was naturally beautiful with the blue sea and white sand. It was a bit of me. The added bonus was that I didn’t get any sunburn!

G – GAME – What's been your favourite football game you've ever played in?

I’d say my first start for Southampton. It was at home to Everton and I was thrown in by Ronald Koeman. We won 3-0 in the end, so it was a memorable day all round. I was playing on my own as a sitting midfielder with James Ward-Prowse and Steven Davis just ahead of me.

H – HOBBIES – What do you like to get up to away from football?

We love a bit of Fortnite in the squad. I play regularly with Adzy [Adam Armstrong] and Breo [Ben Brereton]. I also love cricket, which I watch and play in the summer. I’m a Sussex Sharks fan and I can often be seen cheering them on down at Hove!

I – IDOL – Who was your favourite footballer as a youngster and why?

Supporting Manchester United I used to love the likes of David Beckham and Paul Scholes. We’ll go with Scholesy, not sure why....don’t say the hair! In all seriousness, he had it all. Late into his career I watched him closely, how he dictated play and ran a game, that sort of thing.

J – JOBS – Have you had any other jobs aside from playing football?

I used to go cleaning with my dad when I was younger. He used to manage a pub called the George & The Dragon in Tarring near Worthing, and I’d always helping him out with the cleaning. I’ve always wanted to be a policeman to be honest. I’d probably join Ben’s dad in the force. I’d like to go undercover. I used to watch The Bill as a youngster and that probably got me into it.

K – KID – What were you like as a young boy?

I was a rascal. I used to let people’s tyres down and nick dust-caps. I think I got caught once and that was the end for me. I remember I was big into my BMX as a youngster and would bring out a little ramp to put near the kerb and start trying to do tricks.

L – LOATH – What annoys you the most and why?

I saw Dacky’s answer was traffic, and I have to agree with him. There’s nothing worse as there’s not a lot you can do about it. The M25 around Heathrow is a nightmare for me when I drive home. I also hate slow drivers, they infuriate me.

M – MUSIC – What sort of music are you into and what's your favourite ever tune?

My favourite tune would have to be R Kelly – World’s Greatest [sings]. I’m into everything - RnB, hip-hop. Another favourite is Thursday by Jess Glynne. I guess us Ginger Ninjas (thanks, Jen) stick together!

N – NICKNAME – What's the best nickname you've come across in your footballing career?

The Norwich gaffer used to call Angus Gunn Kate Moss because he always used to shave his legs. In the meetings, Daniel Farke would always mention it. David Raya has been getting stick about his nose and is getting called Peppa Pig, but he also looks like someone from Whoville in The Grinch. We’ve also started to call Dacky Fridge Back because he has a fat back. [Arma: No, I call him Muckle Back!]

O – OPTIMISM – What would you like to achieve in your career?

I’d like to become an established Premier League player. To represent my country would be amazing as well.

P – PETS – Do you have any pets?

I don’t have any pets up here, but we have a family dog back home called Denzel. He’s eight and is a live-wire. He’s a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. He’s with my mum, she’s the one who takes him for his walks in the mornings.

Q – QUALITY – Who's the best player you've ever played with or against and why?

When I was first coming through at Southampton, Adam Lallana was in his prime. Most recently I’d say James Maddison, who I played with at Norwich last season. Dacky is another one. He’s got so much quality.

R – RAPID – Who's the quickest player you've played with or against?

I’d go with Adzy [Armstrong]. I was up against him in training a couple of weeks ago and it was quite embarrassing in the end to be honest.

S – STRANGE – What's the strangest thing you've seen in your life?

Ben Brereton’s technique on the pool table. It’s the way he strolls to the table, looks down the cue, with his eyes barely open and his little tombstone teeth staring back at everyone. He also wears spades on his feet. His barnet when he gets a fresh trim is also rather odd!

T – TELEVISION – What do you like to watch on the TV and why?

I love to watch football and cricket. I could watch test match cricket all day if I could, the five day matches. The lads think it’s boring but I can’t get enough of it. I also watched I’m A Celeb and I always knew Harry Redknapp would win. Prison Break is one of the best things I’ve ever seen as well, it’s right up there.

U – UNKNOWN – Tell us something that people don't know about you.

This one’s difficult. I’ve never watched The Lion King. That’s not really good enough, is it? I played cricket for my county as a youngster, go for that. I also have a record of 128 not out when I have played cricket. That’s my best effort.

V – VIDEO GAMES – Do you own a games console and if so how often do you play it?

Xbox, every night. I play Fortnite with the lads and play it for at least a couple of hours every night. I’m still awful. To put it into context, I’m worse at Fortnite than Ben is at playing pool. I’m that bad!

W – WORLD – Where would you most like to visit in your life?

My missus went travelling to Australia and talks about that a lot. I’d like to go there and see the sights. I’d look at Sydney, perhaps.

X – XYLOPHONE – Can you play any musical instruments?

The drums! [produces drum beat]

Y – YIKES – Do you have a fear of anything?

I hate snakes. I hate sharks. If I went to Australia I’d never get in the sea. I fancy myself swimming against a shark though.

Z – ZODIAC – What's your star sign?

I’m an Aquarius.
