This season, we're introducing a new feature, bringing Rovers fans that bit closer to members of the current first-team squad.

The idea is simple: 26 questions, one for each letter of the alphabet, with subjects ranging from the players' favourite holiday destinations to the strangest things they've ever seen.

Elliott Bennett shows exactly why he’s Rovers’ Mr Nice Guy in the latest A-Z against old club Norwich City!

A – AWAY -What is your favourite away ground that you've played at?

I’d have to say Old Trafford. My dad is a Manchester United fan and tried to bring me and my brother up to like United as well. So when I played there for the first time with Norwich in the Premier League in front of 76,000 fans, it was an amazing experience.

B – BANTER – Who's got the best banter in the squad?

We have a good few here. Dacky has stupid banter, whilst Charlie has really dry banter. Craig Conway is right up there as well I’d say. I’m nowhere near any of them, I just jump on other people!

C – CLUB – What football team do you support?

As a kid I grew up supporting Wolves because that was where I started off But as you get older you tend to only support the team that you’re playing for.

D – DINING – What would be your last three-course meal?

Starter is a tough one. Go with bruschetta, oil and tomatoes. The main would be a medium rare steak, chips and vegetables. Dessert would be jam roly poly and custard. I get where Harry Redknapp is coming from!

E – EVENINGS – A quiet night in or a night out with the lads? Why?

I’ll have to go with a quiet night in with the missus. I don’t go out much, but when I do I really enjoy that. But the majority of the time I’m in with the missus.

F – FOREIGN – What's your favourite holiday destination and why?

Bora Bora. I went there with the wife for our honeymoon. It was a memorable one!

G – GAME – What's been your favourite football game you've ever played in?

That’s so hard. There have been so many I have enjoyed so I’ll pick a few. The game against Doncaster away last season was right up there. Playing and scoring for Norwich at White Hart Lane against Tottenham was memorable. I also remember during my Brighton days we got promoted at Walsall and I scored one of the goals. It would be one of those three.

H – HOBBIES – What do you like to get up to away from football?

I go to the park with the kids. When I am on my own I enjoy playing a bit of Fifa but that doesn’t happen too often! Relaxing with family and friends, that sort of thing.

I – IDOL – Who was your favourite footballer as a youngster and why?

Zinedine Zidane. The first World Cup I remember and watched was the 1998 World Cup in France. Zidane was the hero and from that moment on I loved the way he played the game.

J – JOBS – Have you had any other jobs aside from playing football?

I went on work experience before I became a professional. I went to work with my dad for a few weeks. I remember falling asleep because it was so hard. I was a picker, and basically what I did was check the orders that would come through to the computer and get the parts, bag them up and move them. It would be parts for lawnmowers and golf buggies, those sort of things. If I wasn’t a footballer I’d like to have been a fireman.

K – KID – What were you like as a young boy?

I was mischievous. Me and my brother aren’t too far apart in age and we’d get up to a lot of cheeky stuff.

L – LOATH – What annoys you the most and why?

Traffic and delayed trains. When I’d travel in from home, the train delays really bother me. When I drive in, the M6 always seems to be a nightmare!

M – MUSIC – What sort of music are you into and what's your favourite ever tune?

I’m into all kinds. I like Rnb, hip-hop and reggae the most. My favourite ever tune would have to be Bob Marley – One Love.

N – NICKNAME – What's the best nickname you've come across in your footballing career?

We call Ben Brereton Coco Pop Neck. That’s my favourite! Tombstone Teeth is a good one as well. Stick with Coco Pop Neck. [Ben: Why do I get hammered in this every single week?!]

O – OPTIMISM – What would you like to achieve in your career?

I’d love to play in the Premier League again. That’s the pinnacle of any player’s career.

P – PETS – Do you have any pets?

I have a dog called Morley. He’s seven and he’s a cross between a Shar-Pei and a Beagle. I wanted a Shar-Pei and the missus wanted a Beagle, so we found a compromise. That’s married life for you!

Q – QUALITY – Who's the best player you've ever played with or against and why?

I wouldn’t have said it before, but Luka Modric has just won the Balon D’Or, so I have to say him. Gareth Bale is another who stood out when I played against him. In terms of the players I have played with, Wes Hoolahan at Norwich was special. The Irish Messi!

R – RAPID – Who's the quickest player you've played with or against?

Joe Rothwell is the quickest I have played with. He’s lightning! Against, you can take your pick from Gareth Bale or Theo Walcott!

S – STRANGE – What's the strangest thing you've seen in your life?

Probably Bradley Dack’s obsession with being naked. It’s a daily occurrence and isn’t something I enjoy looking at!

T – TELEVISION – What do you like to watch on the TV and why?

Biggleton on Cbeebies with the kids! When I am not with the kids I enjoy watching things like The Apprentice and Dragons’ Den. I watched I’m a Celebrity and loved it. I thought Harry Redknapp was incredible.

U – UNKNOWN – Tell us something that people don't know about you.

I got good grades in school. I got an A in Maths, an A in Business, A in French, A in history and an A in P.E.

V – VIDEO GAMES – Do you own a games console and if so how often do you play it?

I own a PS4 and play Fifa whenever I get the chance. I love it.

W – WORLD – Where would you most like to visit in your life?

I’d most like to visit somewhere weird like Australia. It’s so far away it would be a once in a lifetime sort of thing.

X – XYLOPHONE – Can you play any musical instruments?

I can play the triangle.

Y – YIKES – Do you have a fear of anything?

Yes, I have a fear of large spiders. The ones in England I’m fine with, but it’s the big hairy ones that I can’t stand.

Z – ZODIAC – What's your star sign?

I’m a Sagittarius. I have no idea what it means but it involves a horse and a man, doesn’t it?
