Rovers' Under-23s will be looking for a first win of the season when Everton travel to East Lancashire later this week.

The sides meet at the Lancashire FA County Ground at 7pm on Friday evening, for what will be our fourth league game back in the top tier.

Rovers were impressive when drawing at Derby County on the opening day but have since suffered back-to-back defeats against Chelsea and Leicester.

The Blues were without Joe Grayson for the Leicester clash, as the defender made their first-team debut in Tuesday's 4-1 Carabao Cup win over Lincoln. He was joined by Dan Butterworth, who came off the bench for his first senior appearance.

The duo could return to action against Everton, but Sam Hart and captain Lewis Hardcastle have gone out on loan to Rochdale and Port Vale respectively, and therefore won't feature.

Meanwhile, Tyler Magloire remains a long-term absentee, and Charley Doyle will serve the final match of his three-game ban.

Tickets for the clash are just £3 for adults, £1 for concessions, free for season ticket holders and can be bought on the gate from 6pm onwards.

We will be providing live match updates via Twitter on matchday.
