Rovers have named a strong side to take on Carlisle United in the Carabao Cup, with four changes made from the side which started against Millwall at Ewood Park at the weekend.

Lewis Travis, Joe Rothwell, Craig Conway and Adam Armstrong all come into the starting lineup in Cumbria, at the expense of Richie Smallwood and Corry Evans, who are both on the bench, Elliott Bennett and Danny Graham, who have both not made the trip north.

Graham has been given the night off against his former club, whilst Bennett misses out with a gashed shin.

Derrick Williams has still not recovered from a foot injury, with Amari'i Bell continuing to deputise at left back in place of the number three.

Mowbray is boosted by the return of Dominic Samuel, who takes his place on the bench this evening, whilst Adam Armstrong starts as the lone frontman.

Hosts Carlisle have names an experienced side for the night, with key man Jamie Devitt - who scored at the weekend - likely to take a position in attack, whilst there is a starting place for Kelvin Etuhu, the brother of ex-Rover Dickson.

Carlisle United: Fryer, Liddle (c), Gerrard, Parkes, Hope, Devitt, Gillesphey, Slater, Campbell, Yates, Etuhu.

Substitutes: Collin, Miller, Grainger, Glendon, Bennett, Adelusi, Egan.

Rovers: Raya, Nyambe, Lenihan, Mulgrew (c), Bell, Rothwell, Travis, Palmer, Dack, Conway, Armstrong.

Substitutes: Leutwiler, Smallwood, Samuel, Whittingham, Nuttall, Downing, Evans.
