Rovers skipper Charlie Mulgrew has been named in the Scotland squad to face Belgium and Albania at the beginning of next month.
The Scots will take on a star-studded Belgium side that finished third in this year’s FIFA World Cup in a friendly on Friday 7th September.
Alex McLeish's side face off against Albania at Hampden Park three days later as they aim to get their campaign off to the perfect start in their quest to secure a play-off spot for UEFA Euro 2020.
Mulgrew will be aiming to earn caps 37 and 38 for his country by playing a part in the double-header.
The captain is joined in the national team by an ex-Rover in the form of playmaker Tom Cairney.
