Rovers will look to maintain the unbeaten start to the season against Bristol City on Sunday afternoon.

Here's our guide to the game...

Last time out, Rovers sailed through to the third round of the Carabao Cup with a 4-1 win over Lincoln City at Ewood Park. The result means the Blues have now played seven games in all competitions so far this season, winning four and drawing three. This weekend sees us return to Championship action with a trip to Bristol City, who have also made a steady start to the campaign. With five league matches played, the sides are 9th and 5th respectively at the time of writing. As always, we'll be in attendance, bringing you team news and live updates via social media. Fans can follow the action via our official Twitter account, with kick-off scheduled for 1:30pm on Sunday.

Bradley Dack (knee), Adam Armstrong and Derrick Williams (both foot) could all return to the side following recent injuries, but Dominic Samuel is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering an ACL injury against Reading. Meanwhile, midfield duo Ben Gladwin (knee) and Jacob Davenport (hip flexor) remain doubtful. Summer signings Jack Rodwell, Harrison Reed and Ben Brereton could be in the squad for the clash, with the latter joining the club on an initial loan from Nottingham Forest on Tuesday.

After a slow start, Bristol City are up and running in 2018/19, following back-to-back wins against QPR and Swansea. Managed by Lee Johnson, the Robins have eight points from their opening five games, with Andreas Weimann the league's joint-top scorer with five goals. City finished 11th in the second tier last season with 67 points from their 46 games. Rovers have suffered just one defeat to this weekend's opponents since August 1991, and our most recent clash came in April 2017, when Sam Gallagher's equaliser earned us a 1-1 draw at Ewood Park. Sunday's match will be the 43rd meeting between the sides.

Tickets are still available, and can be purchased from the ticket office at Ewood or over the phone on 01254372000, until 4pm on Friday. This is an all-ticket fixture, meaning there will be no sales on matchday.
