Rovers have been drawn at home to Preston North End in the first round of the Lancashire FA Senior Cup.
The game will take place on Tuesday 11th September at the club's Academy base in Brockhall Village, with kick-off scheduled for 1pm.
In the event of the scores being level at the end of 90 minutes, extra-time will not be played, and the winner of the tie will be determined by penalties.
Rovers have reached the semi-final stage in each of the last two seasons, suffering penalty shoot-out defeats to Fleetwood and, most recently, Bury.
Fans should also note that Rovers Under-23s' league clash against Leicester, which was originally scheduled to be played at the King Power Stadium on Monday, will now be played at Leicestershire & Rutland FA headquarters in Whetstone.
There has also been a change to the league trip to Manchester City on 3rd November, with kick-off moving forward to 12pm.
