I should have won it for us

Danny Graham gave a brutally honest interview following the 0-0 home draw against Millwall

He doesn't miss many in the box, but Danny Graham was left frustrated thanks to two good stops from Millwall goalkeeper Jordan Archer following the 0-0 home draw with The Lions.

Both opportunities were almost carbon copies of each other, as Graham raced away from Shaun Hutchinson on two occasions, but saw the impressive Archer in his way of bagging a brace.

Despite not scoring, it was a decent display from Danny, who turns 33 tomorrow. However, as someone who sets high standards, the Rovers number 10 was left down in the dumps and cursing his luck post-match.

"I’ve got to score those two chances I had in the second half to be honest," he said.

“I’m a bit disappointed. I’m disappointed with the way we started the game and the first half as a whole and the fact we deserved to win the game in my opinion.

“The gaffer gave us some words at half time and we were much better in the second half. It’s a different mood right now."
The bigger picture tells everyone that Rovers have had a good enough start to life back in the Championship with two draws.
But Rovers are used to winning, and Graham feels the team deserved more for their efforts both against Neil Harris' side and at Ipswich Town last weekend on the opening day of the season.
"Looking back, I’m disappointed we haven’t got four or six points on the board from these first two games but we’ve had a good start and are finding our feet in the Championship again.
“We’re creating chances against good teams - Millwall I think finished ninth last season so we’ll take the positives and move forward.
“We were much better in the second half. We penned them in, kept them in there and won the ball back quickly. Like I say, we’re disappointed not to win the game and we now look ahead to the Cup game against Carlisle now."

Don't forget, Rovers are back in action on Tuesday night when we take on Carlisle United in the Carabao Cup. Fancy going? Purchase your tickets by clicking here.
