Richie Smallwood wants the home support to play their part once again when Reading visit Ewood Park this evening in the Championship.
Smallwood will appear for a 50th consecutive league start in Rovers colours tonight if selected by boss Tony Mowbray.
And he wants to celebrate the milestone with another three-point haul when Paul Clement brings his side to Ewood Park this evening.
“It’s a good opportunity. I know they haven’t had the best of starts, but I watched them on the opening day of the season and felt they were really unlucky against Derby," he said when discussing the challenge of Reading to iFollow Rovers.
“That was at home, I don’t know if they have struggles on the road, but we’re at home and we can use the crowd to get behind us like they always do.
“A good start to the season and a good home record will put you in a decent position. We see this as another opportunity to get the three points, especially going into Saturday’s home game against Brentford as well. We have a good record at home and we want that to continue.
“We like playing at Ewood. The crowd really get behind us and we showed last season, particularly in the second half, kicking towards the Blackburn End sees us score some goals and really turn up the heat.
“We want a good start and hopefully that will push us on to another victory."
