Rovers defender Darragh Lenihan has been included in the provisional Republic of Ireland squad for the UEFA Nations League opener against Wales and the international friendly with Poland.
The centre back, who has played every minute of this season so far, helping Rovers keep three clean sheets in the last four games, could make a second and third cap against the Welsh on September 6th before tackling Poland five days later.
The 24-year-old earned his first cap earlier in the summer against the USA, playing 55 minutes at the Aviva Stadium.
Fellow Rover Derrick Williams hasn't been included due to the foot injury picked up earlier this season.
Lenihan will link up with former Rovers pair Shane Duffy and Alan Judge in the squad, which will be updated on Monday 3rd September ahead of training at the FAI National Training Centre.
