A near perfect performance, says Brad

There were five Rovers goals on Tuesday night in Rovers' big Carabao Cup victory at Carlisle United, and playmaker Bradley Dack had a hand in every single one of them.

The influential midfield man bagged a brace and assisted Adam Armstrong's double and Kasey Palmer's first in Rovers colours on the night in a complete performance from the number 23.

It was an outstanding individual display from the 24-year-old, but despite his impressive performance, the League One Player of the Year was still miffed - he wanted a first professional hat-trick!

“It was a really enjoyable game to play in from a personal point of view and nice to come away with a big win," Dack told iFollow Rovers after the game.

"There are still things to improve on as a team particularly defensively as the gaffer said at half time how we were conceding too many shots.

“There are bits to work on but there are also plenty of positives to take from our display. It was disappointing to not get a hat-trick - the ‘keeper made a couple of really good saves late on, including a brilliant one to tip a shot onto the crossbar.

“It was nice to score a goal from outside the box. There were some good passes into my feet from the likes of Trav (Lewis Travis) and Joe (Rothwell) in whipping balls forward to me.

“Kasey was brilliant against Millwall and again tonight he did really well. I’m delighted for him to get his first goal.

“We saw Adam Armstrong in a nutshell tonight with two confident finishes. He makes great runs and is a brilliant player. He was great tonight and is a great signing for us," Dack added.

Don't forget, Rovers are back in league action on Saturday at Hull City. You can back the lads by purchasing your tickets here.
