Left back Derrick Williams believes there's no reason why Rovers can't have even more success in the Championship next season.
Rovers clinched a return with a narrow victory over Doncaster in midweek and although short-term the title is the aim, personnel are already starting to look further ahead.
And speaking after the jubilant win at the Keepmoat Stadium, Williams reckons that momentum could play a big part in Rovers' campaign in 2018-19.
“We started terribly, people were doubting us, but we have kicked on and now have only one defeat in 33 games. I feel we can have a right go at the division next season," the 25-year-old said to iFollow Rovers.
“I’m delighted for everyone. We have great staff, great players, great fans and it all comes from the top of the club. The staff work so hard - the work that goes on behind the scenes is unbelievable and I want to thank them for that as well.
“It’s brilliant for everyone involved. It’s been a top season and we were 14 or 15 points at one point and now we’ve done it.
“I’m so happy for the club for the fans - the turnout tonight was unbelievable. It was a great relief and I couldn’t stop screaming!
“The fans kept us going in the last five or 10 minutes and helped us massively. I’d like to thank them for their support not just tonight but this whole season."
And Williams heaped praise on match-winning skipper Charlie Mulgrew, after the captain's 14th goal of an incredible season.
“We want to go for top spot, come first and look to break some more records," Del added.
"As for Charlie, he is a great guy and great captain. He’s stepped up and he’s a real legend both on and off the pitch."
