Six points from two games over the period made it a cracking Easter for Rovers who came out of the five-day period looking down on the rest.

Scoring twice in both games, Tony Mowbray's men comfortably beat Bradford on Thursday evening before heading down to MK Dons on the Monday and returning with the three points with a hard fought victory.

The other two sides in the promotion race - Wigan and Shrewsbury - picked up a win and a draw over this time - but Mowbray is still adamant that there will be ups and downs to come for all three teams between now and May 5th.

“I’m happy for the supporters and it’s been a great Easter weekend for us," he said to iFollow Rovers after the game against MK Dons.

"If we win every game between now and the end of the season then the chaser in Shrewsbury won’t be able to catch us.

“We’ll try and get three points at the weekend against Southend. All three teams will feel they have to win every game, but probably none of us will win every game.

“You have to keep your nerve, keep working hard and have trust in your team-mates and the talent that we have in the group."

Rovers are next in action on Saturday 7th April when Southend United visit Ewood Park. Kick-off is at 3pm and you can purchase your tickets by clicking here.
