Boss Tony Mowbray has made three changes from the team which started against Bradford on Thursday for the trip to MK Dons.
Returning to the side are experienced duo Charlie Mulgrew and Danny Graham, whilst Paul Downing also returns to the starting XI after coming on for Darragh Lenihan on Thursday.
Lenihan himself hasn't made the squad after picking up that back injury on the night, whilst Dominic Samuel and Amari'i Bell, who both started against Bradford, are on the bench.
Mulgrew makes his 400th career apearance and will hope to continue his fine form against the Dons having bagged a brace against them at Ewood Park at the start of the season.
Fellow defender Downing begins against his former employers and will make his 250th career league appearance.
Defender Elliott Ward is ineligible against his parent club, with the defender currently on loan at the Dons. Ward is part of the two changes for the hosts, with fellow loanee Ethan Ebanks-Landell coming into the side and Callum Brittain playing in place of Kieran Agard.
