Rovers will be looking to claim a fourth consecutive win when Southend make the trip to Ewood Park on Saturday.
Here's our guide to the game...
STATE OF PLAY
Last time out, Rovers secured a vital 2-1 win at relegation-threatened MK Dons, a result which means we have lost just once in 28 league games. Tony Mowbray's side sit top of the League One standings, one point ahead of second-placed Shrewsbury and two ahead of third-placed Wigan, who have a game in hand. Going into this weekend's game, the Blues have scored 74 goals in 2017/18, conceding 36 times at the other end. The clash against Southend is our final Saturday 3pm kick-off of the season, and fans can follow the action via our official Twitter account, with highlights available for iFollow subscribers after the game.
Rovers will hope to have defender Darragh Lenihan available for this clash following a recent knock; he could partner Charlie Mulgrew, who had a spell at Southend in 2008. Jack Payne will also be eager to start, having won promotion with this weekend's opponents three years ago. Meanwhile, Ryan Nyambe remains a couple of weeks away from a comeback, and loanee Harry Chapman is back at parent club Middlesbrough for treatment following a hamstring injury. As always, we'll bring you news of both starting line-ups an hour before kick-off on matchday.
Southend currently sit 12th in the standings, with 53 points from their 40 games so far this season. Managed by former Huddersfield and Charlton boss Chris Powell, the Shrimpers were very impressive when beating Gillingham 4-0 on their last league outing. Southend's top scorers in all competition this season are Simon Cox and Jason Demetriou with eight.
