Rovers Ladies will hope to secure further silverware for the club when they take on Leicester City in the final of the FA Women’s Premier League Cup.
The final takes place at Chesterfield's Proact Stadium on Sunday, kick-off 2pm.
Rovers' cup campaign started with a penalty shoot-out victory over Stoke City, followed by a 2-1 win over Liverpool Marshall Feds in the second round. They then defeated Brighouse Town 2-1 in the quarter-finals, before booking their place in the final with another shoot-out success, this time over Coventry United.
Leicester came through two qualifying rounds - putting five goals past both Chorley Ladies (5-1) and The New Saints (5-2) - before beating Bolton Wanderers 3-0 in the first round, Loughborough Foxes 3-1 in the second round, Nottingham Forest on penalties in the last eight, before securing their shot at silverware with a 4-2 victory over Lewes FC.
The two teams met in the league earlier this month, with Leicester coming out on top, as Sophie Domingo's double - including a last minute strike - secured a 2-1 win.
Ladies manager Gemma Donnelly is pleased to take charge of Rovers’ first ever FA Women’s Premier League Cup final appearance and hopes her side can come back with the cup.
“We are delighted to make our first appearance in the final of the Premier League Cup," she said.
"This is not only a fabulous achievement for the players, but to all involved in the set-up within Blackburn Rovers Ladies.
“We are extremely proud and excited to be involved in this competition, we look forward to the occasion and will enjoy the experience.
“May I take this opportunity to wish Leicester the best for the game, but of course I hope that we will be strong enough to prevail as League Cup champions on Sunday."
