Tony Mowbray has said he has yet to decide whether Bradley Dack will play a part against old side Gillingham when Rovers head to Priestfield Stadium on Tuesday night.
Dack hobbled off with what looked like a hamstring injury against Southend on Saturday but the boss has revealed he isn't too concerned about the 24-year-old ahead of the trip to Kent.
“He’s got fatigue. We just have to make sure that he’s going to be available for the crucial run-in for us," Mowbray said.
“I’m not overly concerned. If we play Bradley tomorrow night then we’re taking a risk, if we don’t play him tomorrow night then we’re giving him an extra few days to recover from what is muscle fatigue.
“Fingers crossed he’ll be ok. I’ve talked to him about not making the wrong decision out of the emotion of wanting to play against his former club.
“What’s more important is our destiny this season. We’ve got six games still to play and we have to be really professional that Bradley will hopefully contribute to most of those games and not make a rash decision about playing in one and then he misses the next five.”
