Rovers boss Tony Mowbray is hopeful Bradley Dack will be back in contention to play against former club Gillingham on Tuesday night.
Dack lasted just 11 minutes of the game against the Southend United at Ewood Park as Rovers made it four straight wins for the side thanks to Danny Graham's second half header.
And whilst Rovers fans may be biting their nails, fear not, things aren't as bad as first feared, with Mowbray reckoning the number 23 could be back for the trip to take on the Gills on Tuesday night.
“It’s a disappointment to take him off," Tony reflected. "Bradley can make the difference on the pitch, playing the right pass and breaking away and scoring. There would have been space in the second half for him to exploit.
“How is he? We took him off as a precaution. He felt his hamstring slightly and with a burst away there’s always a chance it could tear and he’d miss the rest of the season.
“It was better to take him off. He’ll definitely want to play against Gillingham. We’ll assess things with him tomorrow."
