Bradley Dack said he couldn't have picked a group of players to get promoted with, hailing the spectacular team spirit in the Rovers squad.
A bunch which was mainly built in the summer, Dack was one of a number of summer signings snapped up with the aim of securing an instant return to the second tier.
And it was a case of mission complete from Dack and his team-mates as Charlie Mulgrew's header earned promotion back to the Championship at the first time of asking.
“It feels unbelievable. I’m absolutely delighted to do it with a group we have here," Bradley beamed when speaking to iFollow Rovers after the game.
"The togetherness in the camp is massive. The pressure was huge at the start of the season and to achieve promotion how we have is just unbelievable.
“It’s hard to put it into words. To share it with people I have only known for a year, with the team spirit we have in the dressing room, it’s a special feeling."
Reflecting on the game, the 24-year-old admitted that he had a feeling it wasn't to be before his ball was flicked on by substitute Jack Payne before Mulgrew looped home a header to earn those three points needed to go up.
“After the first half it looked like it would be one of those games," Bradley added. "The skipper had been brilliant and has led by example both on and off the pitch. He’s come up with a massive goal and it was fitting that he’s got it.
“It was relief at the end. All that hard work in the last 10 months has culminated in tonight. What a feeling. The support has been incredible. We had half the stadium tonight and they were in full voice all evening."
