It was an afternoon to remember for the 50+ attendees at the latest Business At Rovers networking event, held at Ewood Park prior to the recent victory over Bradford City.

A number of local and national businesses were represented at the event, which saw Rovers and a number of companies come together to meet and greet.

The event lasted for around an hour and a half in the Clayton & Douglas Lounge before the game against the Bantams.

There were two guest speakers in attendance, with Mark Farrimond, CEO of The Envelope Works, who discussed in great detail his journey in the business world, the trials and tribulations to get where he’s got to, his professional snooker career and much more.

Mark was joined by Richard Few, who is the Sales Director at Sales Geek, who spoke about how he’s gone from working in a local golf pro ship to spending the last 15 years analysing what customers really want from a service or product.

Rovers' Business Development Manager Danny Davis said: “It was again a very well attended event and there were some absolutely brilliant stories from both Mark and Richard, who have had some intriguing ups and downs in their careers.

“Mark is doing fantastic things with the Envelope Works, but after speaking, you could tell how close it all came to falling down on him when he was making his way in the world and starting up.

“Richard likewise spoke really well and I think opened the eyes of a number of our guests in the Lounge as to how to perhaps sell better.

“And with the result later in the evening, a great afternoon turned into the perfect day."
