It was a successful night for both Rovers players away on World Cup qualification duty.
Charlie Mulgrew played the full match for Scotland as they inflicted a 3-0 defeat on Lithuania, whilst Corry Evans was a second half substitute as Northern Ireland defeated San Marino by the same scoreline.
Scotland's win sees them close the gap on the teams above them in the race for a play-off position, moving into third in the group on goal difference. But they remain four points behind second-placed Slovakia.
The Scots play Malta at Hampden in two days time.
Northern Ireland's win means they now only need one point from their remaining three matches to secure a play-off spot. Germany lead Group C with seven wins from seven games, but the Northern Irish sit comfortably second, seven points ahead of third placed Czech Republic who they play in Belfast on Monday.
Rovers goalkeeper Jayson Leutwiler is with the Canada national team who face Jamaica in a friendly in Toronto later today.
