With a busy period of matches coming up Tony Mowbray knows that it is important for Rovers to keep collecting the points.

Following September's break for World Cup qualifiers, Rovers are back in league action this afternoon when they make the short journey to Spotland to take on Rochdale eager to build on their back-to-back league wins over Bradford and MK Dons.

The match against Dale is the first of six league outings this month, and the manager has stressed the need to keep the momentum building, and to keep collecting the points.

"We need to get on a roll, we've won the last few and we need to go and try and get another positive result," said Mowbray.

"Then Tuesday night at Scunthorpe will come around really quickly.

"We are looking forward to the games. Three out of the next four are away from home and are tough fixtures against tough teams that will make life really difficult for you.

"They are difficult fixtures for us but ones we have to look forward it. I believe that the team will go and give a really good account of themselves.

"If we are going to get out of this league then some of these games are games that we are going to have to get three points from.

"If we have to grind it out and make it a really tough day and take something from the game then we'll do that. You just have to keep accumulating points if we can."
