Tony Mowbray hopes Rovers can kickstart a tough week of matches with a win over Shrewsbury Town this afternoon.

Following today's match against Shrewsbury, Rovers have a pair of home fixtures with Rotherham United at Ewood on Tuesday followed by Gillingham on Saturday.

The manager knows each game will pose it's own challenges, but he's confident that if they put in the desired performance, they can get a healthy haul of points.

"I am looking forward to all the games," said Mowbray. "They are all difficult, there are no easy games.

"We are going to Shrewsbury, top of the league, and still unbeaten having won seven out of eight.

"Then we have got a really tough one against Rotherham at home who are a strong athletic team.

"So we've got some tough games coming up, but ones that we have to look forward to, and believe that we've got the players to find the performance to get us the points."
