New signing Sam Hart insists an impressive looking CV counts for nothing, as he aims to get some regular first team football under his belt here at Rovers.
Having come through the Academy ranks at Manchester United, Hart has spent the past four years at Liverpool, prior to joining Rovers on a two-year deal on deadline day.
The 20-year-old full-back got a taste of first team football on loan at Port Vale last season and he hopes to progress his career further after making the permanent move to Ewood Park.
"I'm a young lad coming from Liverpool, so my aim is to play as many games as possible," he said.
"The dream is still the same. When I was four years old, my dream was to play professional football, so just because I've taken a few steps down it doesn't mean in the end I'm not going to go back up.
"That's the dream and hopefully with Blackburn Rovers that's what we're going to do. I will do whatever I can do to help us get promoted.
"I was at Liverpool for about four years. I joined from Manchester United, so I've had a few nice teams on my CV, but it's really time to knuckle down and play mens football now.
"I had a bit of a taste of it on loan at Port Vale last year, so I'm used to League One, so it's really exciting for me to come to a new club with such great players.
"Port Vale gave me a taste and experience I needed to really push on in my career and that is why I'm here. I'm really excited to move forward with Blackburn now."
Hart made 11 appearances for the Valiants in League One last season, before returning to Liverpool's development squad in January, and he can't wait to get going again in the division in Rovers colours.
"Obviously it's different to Academy football, because you're playing in front of big crowds and that kind of thing, so it's really exciting," he added.
"It is a very tough division. What I learned last year is that there are no easy games.
"You can't be confident that you are going to win because there are shocks everywhere in this league.
"But I'm really excited and can't wait to get going now.
"There is such a great squad here and I'm really relishing the opportunity to play for them."
