Pleased to see Dack get off the mark

24 September 2017

Boss Tony Mowbray was pleased to see Bradley Dack grab his first goal in Rovers colours in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Shrewsbury Town.

The summer signing from Gillingham struck five minutes from time to earn his side a point against the league leaders.

And after grabbing his first goal and coming through his first full game of the season, his manager has challenged Dack to follow it up with another 90 minutes against Rotherham on Tuesday night.

"Bradley has to stay fit it is as simple as that," said Mowbray.

"The key for him, is off the back of a 90 minutes, can he play another 90 minutes.

"Worst case scenario for us is after playing 90 minutes his hamstring goes after 60 in the next match.

"It was a difficult game for him, we asked him to play in a position that was probably a bit foreign to him.

"But I'm pleased for Bradley that he has scored. He had to score some time as he is probably our best technical finisher with both feet.

"We have to get him in positions in and around the box to show people he can do that."

Tickets for Tuesday's match against Rotherham United are currently on open sale, with prices from just £18 for Adults, from £11 Seniors/18-21yrs, from £6 for Under-18s and from £4 for Under-12s.
