Our quality came through

11 September 2017

Craig Conway believes it was the team's hard work that got them the reward of the victory over Rochdale on Saturday.

Three goals secured the three points, and ensured a third consecutive League One win for the Rovers.

The midfielder felt that they matched the work-rate of the opposition, and then the quality in the squad took over when it mattered.

I have to say that the support was unbelievable, it was the best I've seen, it was brilliant.

"We knew that we had to come here and match them physically and I felt we really did that," said Conway.

"I think our quality came through and it probably looked more comfortable in the end than what it was. We had to work hard, everybody was really good and really strong.

"It really paid off and it is a great feeling to come away and win 3-0.

"I have to say that the support was unbelievable, it was the best I've seen, it was brilliant.

"So it was a great win and three on the bounce is really good and now we've just got to build that momentum."

After starting the season with a pair of defeats, Conway feels the team are starting to get to grips with what is required to get results in the division, as shown by the hat-trick of wins.

"With the way we started, I think we have adjusted quite quickly," added the Scot.

"It is hard, every game is a cup final to the other team as well, we are obviously a big club and the support shows that.

"But hopefully we are starting the reap the rewards, we've got a great squad, the lads are really working hard and it is great to get the result."

Rovers are back on their travels this Tuesday night when they take on Scunthorpe United.
