Tony Mowbray hopes his side reward the travelling faithful with a win at Rochdale on Saturday.
Rovers will be roared on by some 3000 fans at the Crown Oil Arena, as league football resumes following the international break.
The Rovers boss believes having such support backing the side brings it's own pressure and expectation, but he hopes that the players thrive in what he expects to be a difficult match.
"Ultimately it is good for us as it applies it's own pressure on us to perform really," said Mowbray.
"We all know anyway, but it is making them aware of what a big club this is and how passionate the supporters are.
"They are looking for us to win football matches this year and to make it a successful season - as we all want to do.
"But nobody hands it to you on a plate, you have to go and earn it, and hopefully together - the team off the pitch on the terraces and the team on the pitch on the grass - can get the job done.
"Even though I would hope that the evidence of the last two performances have shown that the players realise now that if they get to the intensity levels that are required they can win football matches at this league.
"Sometimes that intensity needs to be continually driven by the fans behind the goal encouraging and cheering, and making sure that the players are very focused.
"So hopefully that will be the case at the weekend and we can make it an enjoyable day for them."
