Paul Downing knows it is important that Rovers continue to build momentum as they prepare to face Scunthorpe United this Tuesday evening.

The on-loan defender, who made his debut for the Rovers in Saturday's 3-0 win over Rochdale, feels the confidence in the camp is growing after a hat-trick of league victories.

However, tonight's opponents are unbeaten after six games this season, but Downing sees no reason why Rovers can't come away from Glanford Park with another three points.

"It is important to keep building the momentum because the games do come fast," the defender told iFollow Rovers.

"We had a slow start so it is important that we keep winning, don't look too far ahead and focus on the next game. If we keep putting in the performances then the results will follow.

"With Scunthorpe, it is similar to Rochdale, you've got to go there and match them physically and work hard. But we'll go there full of confidence I think. We want to go there and win.

"It will be difficult, but I don't see any reason why we can't get the three points."

Tickets for tonight's match will be on sale from the ticket office at Ewood Park until 2.30pm at the advance price of £22 Adults, £15 Seniors, £15 Students (must produce valid NUS Card), £15 Under 21s. £6 Under 18s and Under 12s Free of charge (Maximum of two per paying adult).

After that fans can pay on the door at Glanford Park - cash only from the away turnstiles. Matchday prices are £25 Adults, £17 Seniors/U21/Students (with valid NUS card), £8 Under 18’s.
