Rekeem Harper says he plays football with a smile on his face, having made many sacrifices to get to where he is.
In the space of just 10 years, the midfield starlet has gone from playing Sunday League football to making his West Brom debut against Bournemouth in the Premier League.
Having dedicated his tender years to making it to the top, Harper insists he intends to savour every moment on the pitch.
"I'm a box-to-box midfielder," said the new signing, who has joined on a season-long loan from the Baggies.
"I like to score goals, make tackles and just enjoy it. I'm always smiling.
"I just love to play football. It is the best job, how can you not enjoy it?
"I started playing for a Sunday League team when I was about seven-years-old. I was there for two years and then I was picked up by West Brom.
"I've been there since then and I'm 17 now.
"Football has been my focus, I've sacrificed everything just to get better with my football and progress."
Harper could make his debut for Rovers after the international break when they travel to take on Rochdale.
Tickets for the match at the Crown Oils Arena are currently on open sale priced at £22 for Adults, £16 for Seniors 65 and over, £16 for 17-21 year-olds and £5 for Juniors aged 16 and under.
