Danny Graham has been in awe of the support the side have received so far this season.
Saturday's match against Shrewsbury Town will see another sellout away following, with all 1500 tickets snapped up by Rovers fans.
That takes the attendance figure for Rovers fans on their travels over the first five league games of the season to 9000, an average of 1800 per match.
Graham knows the supporters can play a huge part in helping the team achieve their goals this season, but first he wants to reward their faith with another three points this weekend.
"I think it is a credit to every single supporter," said the striker.
"We went down and you think that might not be the case, but there were just as many fans at Rochdale as they had in their home ground.
"We've had a great following, we've done alright on the road, and hopefully we can do the same on Saturday.
"The fans are going to play a massive part in helping us get to where we want to get at the end of the season."
Rovers' following on the road:
- Southend 1555
- Bradford 1965
- Rochdale 3229
- Scunthorpe 820
- Shrewsbury 1500
