Duo absent for Shrews test

Conway and Harper sidelined with hip injuries

Tony Mowbray will be without Craig Conway and Rekeem Harper for this Saturday's clash with Shrewsbury Town.

Conway limped out of last week's defeat to AFC Wimbledon after failing to shake off a hip injury, whilst on-loan youngster Harper also missed the weekend match due to the same complaint.

Neither have trained with the rest of the first team squad this week, so don't come under consideration for selection.

"I haven't seen him to be honest," said the Rovers boss on Conway.

"So as he isn't with me we can assume that Craig isn't going to make it at the weekend.

"It is a frustration for us all really. I think for Craig, it is disappointing, he felt he could get through the game and obviously he didn't.

"We've to now make sure that next time he is on the team sheet we are confident he can get through 90 minutes if we play him.

"I haven't seen Rekeem either. I don't think either are long-term injuries, I'm pretty sure of that.

"I'm pretty sure they'll be on the grass next week but whether they'll be ready for Tuesday we will wait and see.

"But I would suggest it will be another week or two for both of them lads probably."
