Saturday was an afternoon of mixed emotions for Rovers midfielder Bradley Dack.
The summer signing from Gillingham was pleased to score his first goal for his new club to rescue a point against Shrewsbury, but was otherwise disappointed with the way they performed.
Table-topping Shrewsbury took the lead just before the hour mark at Montgomery Waters Meadow, but Rovers hit back through Dack five minutes from time.
In the end the midfielder was pleased to claim a point and now hopes to build on it with two home games this week.
"Obviously it is a great feeling to score my first goal for the club," Dack told iFollow Rovers.
"But it wasn't the result that we wanted as we came here to win. We didn't perform as well as we could have.
"They were on a high having won seven out of eight, so it was a tough place to come, but we expect to win every game, so it is a little bit disappointing.
"Obviously it is nice to score but I would rather take home the three points.
"It is another point on the table. So maybe if we win the next two we can look back at this and say it isn't that bad."
Rovers are back in action this Tuesday night when Rotherham United are the visitors to Ewood Park - kick-off 7.45pm.
