Be solid against the Shrewsbury challenge

Elliott Bennett is relishing the prospect of going up against league leaders Shrewsbury Town on Saturday.

The popular midfielder hails from Shropshire so he'll be keener than anyone to ensure the Rovers come away with the right result.

The 28-year-old knows it won't be easy against a side that have won seven of their eight league matches this season, but after Rovers ended Bradford's and Scunthorpe's recent home records, he is out to upset another side and come away with another three points.

"It is just up the road from me so a good result would be nice!" said Bennett.

"We've done well away from home so far this season. We had the disappointing result in the first game at Southend, but barring that away from home we have been really solid and have beaten a couple of teams whose home records from last season speak for themselves.

"So it is another challenge, Shrewsbury are top of the league at the minute and fully deserve to be there.

"They are on a really good run, as were Bradford when we went there, Scunthorpe's home record was very good. So we'll be looking to go there and get all three points."
