Marcus Antonsson felt Rovers' victory over Rotherham United on Tuesday evening was richly deserved.
The on-loan striker helped the Blues on their way to all three points, scoring the opening goal of the game in the first half, before substitute Harry Chapman secured the win five minutes from time.
Antonsson was delighted to score his first goal at Ewood Park, but admitted he had more than enough opportunities to add to his tally.
"I think we really deserved it," the striker told iFollow Rovers after the match.
"I think it was - especially in the first half - one of our best performances so far and we really deserved the win.
"I think I should have had three goals to be fair, but I'll save them for the other games. We won, that is the most important thing."
The Swede bagged his third of the season, arriving at the near post to meet Charlie Mulgrew's corner, diverting the ball into the back of the net.
He added: "I saw there was a massive space there and I know it isn't easy to put the perfect corner in, and if you get it a little bit low then it is a good space to be in. I found it and it was 1-0.
"The three points were massive, especially at home, we need to win in front of our fans and it felt really good today.
"It really felt that the fans were backing us 100% and it feels so good to win and to have a clean sheet."
Rovers are at Ewood Park once more this Saturday when Gillingham are the visitors.
