Rovers Under-23s get their Premier League Cup campaign underway at home to Cardiff City this evening.
The opening group game will take place at the Lancashire FA County Ground, Leyland, kick-off 7pm.
The development squad have also been drawn with Southampton and Watford in the competition.
Rovers, who are currently second in the PL2 table after an impressive start to the season, met Cardiff City in last year's competition, claiming four points off the Bluebirds.
Damien Johnson's side progressed through the group stages last season, before being knocked out by eventual winners Swansea City.
Rovers welcome captain Lewis Hardcastle back from suspension for tonight's game, but defender Joe Grayson sits out the third and final game of his three-match ban.
Scott Wharton is expected to be given a run-out after recovering from an ankle injury.
All supporters are welcome. Season ticket holders can gain FREE admission on production of their season ticket card. General admission prices are £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.
