Rovers' Under-18s suffered a 6-0 defeat at the hands of Stoke City on Saturday.

The damage was done before the break, with Stoke's Jordan Greenidge netted a quick-fire hat-trick during the first half.

The Blues attempted to make an impact in the second period, bringing on Daniel Pike and Sam Burns around the hour mark.

However, Abdoulaye Toure, Lasse Sorensen and James Jennings all fired home to complete the result at Clayton Wood.

Rovers threatened the Stoke goal occasionally, but ultimately weren't able to find the net and fell to a heavy defeat.

The loss leaves Billy Barr's side in tenth place in the Under-18s Premier League, just three points behind fifth-placed Middlesbrough.

Next up for the youngsters is a trip to struggling Sunderland on Saturday October 21st, when Rovers will hope to bounce back with a win.

Rovers: Campbell, Whitehall, Evans, Buckley, Barnes (c), Boyomos, Dolan (Burns 62'), Chan (Pike 61'), Connell (Brennan 62'), Wilson, Paton.
