Rising Rovers star Joe Nuttall has been nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for the second month running.
The 20-year-old striker, who was unfortunate to miss out on the August accolade after scoring six goals in just three league games, has again been recognised following a series of eye-catching displays in September.
Nuttall leads the division's scoring charts with eight goals so far this season, having netted twice more last month - in the 1-1 draw away to Norwich and the 4-0 victory at home to Fulham - as Damien Johnson's side moved up to second in the table.
The young forward also helped Rovers reach the quarter-finals of the Lancashire FA Senior Cup, scoring in the shoot-out success over a strong Wigan Athletic side.
