Tony Mowbray expects to shuffle his pack for this evening's Checkatrade Trophy group match with Bury.
The Rovers boss sees tonight's tie as a chance to rest some of his regulars, whilst giving those senior players who haven't featured too much in recent weeks the chance to impress at Ewood Park.
And, like the in the opening group match against Stoke City that Rovers won 1-0, he'll also give further opportunities to members of the Under-23 squad that have done so well in their league this season.
"We've got some players who need a break so it will be a natural break for them." said Mowbray.
"Some players that I pick every week and are in the team every week probably don't need to play on Tuesday.
"But there are a few players that do need to play, and there are a few young lads who will really benefit from playing with the senior players.
"I'm thinking it will a mixed team again and one that will hopefully get a victory.
"If we can get out of the group first, get to the knockout phase of the Checkatrade, hopefully we can get the job done on Tuesday by taking the six points and then we'll see what we'll have to do in the last fixture."
