Bradley Dack believes form will go out of the window when Rovers travel to Wigan on Saturday, and is targeting maximum points from the Blues' upcoming fixtures.
Tony Mowbray's men got back to winning ways with an impressive 3-0 victory over Portsmouth last time out, with Dack putting in a standout display.
The midfielder says Rovers must kick on from here, starting with this weekend's highly anticipated match.
“This has got to be the starting point for us to go on a good run," he said.
“We’ve got two tough games coming up against Wigan and Fleetwood, but they’re games we’re fully expected to go and do well in.
“We want to get three points from both games. Obviously Wigan are in good form, but it doesn’t really mean anything yet.
“There are a lot of games left and a lot of points left to be won and lost. We have to take each game as it comes and close the gap on Saturday.
“We’ve been a little bit inconsistent and that’s down to making a lot of signings in the summer.
“It’s a new league for a lot of players and sometimes it takes time to settle in. Hopefully we’re through that period and can put a run together.”
Dack has found the net in successive games for Rovers, and is pleased to be playing his part.
“Obviously, it was nice to get another goal last weekend and set us on the way to three points, but the most important thing is that we won.
“We wanted to go out there and put on a show against Portsmouth. They’re a big club and we knew it was a big game.
“To beat the comprehensively as we did was good."
