Rovers full-back Derrick Williams has defended team-mate Elliott Bennett following his controversial sending off in the goalless draw with Wigan.
The popular midfielder was shown a second yellow card for simulation on 57 minutes, despite clearing trying to avoid an oncoming challenge.
Williams insists that Bennett despises cheating and would never try to con the officials.
"Personally I thought it was a foul," said the defender.
"I think Benno sees it coming and he tries to get out of the way, but he still hits him.
"It's obviously the ref's decision in the end, but I think he was unlucky.
"Benno always works his socks off and he hates that kind of stuff.
"We all spoke to him afterwards and he said 'look lads, it's a foul. I saw it coming and I tried to get out of the way, but it was still a foul. He still got me'.
"He works so hard and when you see stuff like that you just think 'come on now'.
"He's a good guy, 100%, that's exactly what he is and he wouldn't do stuff like that."
