Rovers' Under-23s host West Bromwich Albion in Premier League 2 at Lancashire FA HQ in Leyland on Monday night looking to make it four consecutive wins.
Another victory for Damien Johnson's side will put them top of the league after Middlesbrough drew 3-3 at home to Southampton on Sunday.
Johnson's men are unbeaten at home in the league and haven't suffered a domestic defeat since mid-September, so will be aiming to keep that run going on home soil.
Opponents West Brom sit bottom of the table in 12th place and won once from their ten games played - losing eight times.
Johnson has a number of options available to him, with only Stefan Mols being a long-term injury absentee.
Not in the first team squad for Rovers at the weekend, it's expected that the likes of Scott Wharton and Lewis Travis will play a part, whilst last week's goalscoring trio in Callum Wright, Lewis Mansell and Dan Butterworth will also hope to continue their good form having all scored in the last two wins against Aston Villa and Watford, respectively.
Opponents Albion put up a good showing last week against Boro, losing 1-0, and Baggies boss James Shan is expecting another tough test for his side at Leyland.
“They’re very resilient and difficult to break down, so it’s going to be hard to get in behind them and create goalscoring opportunities," he told the official West Brom website.
“They’ll also cause us problems at the other end. They are a good footballing team and they play with a lot of attacking flair - so I’m expecting a really tough challenge."
Tickets for the game - which kicks off at 7pm - are priced at £3 for adults, £1 for concessions, and season ticket holders are free.
