Rovers Under-18s take on Wrexham in the FA Youth Cup second round at Ewood Park on Wednesday evening.

Billy Barr's side defeated Tranmere Rovers 1-0 in their first-round clash, courtesy of Callum Dolan's goal at Prenton Park.

Meanwhile, Wrexham overcame Salford City on penalties following a 2-2 draw at the Racecourse Ground.

Barr knows all about Wednesday's opponents, having acted as assistant and then caretaker manager between 2011 and 2014, and is expecting a tough game.

"It's Wrexham next and, again, it's going to be difficult. It's a big game for them, but also for us," he said.

"It's been a long time since we've played in the second round and now we want to play in the third, which we're used to doing."

Admission for Wednesday's game is £4 for adults and £2 for concessions (65+ and ages 17 and under). Season tickets are not valid for this fixture.

Kick-off is scheduled for 7pm.
